The burning of the wicker man, said to have been done by the ancient Celts at the autumn equinox
This ceremony is based upon ancient ceremonies that were actually practiced at the autumn equinox and upon the universal principles of esoteric knowledge, which have a rich symbolism found throughout the world in sites like Chichen Itza, The Pyramid of the Sun, The Great Pyramid in Egypt, and Easter Island, as well as in the mythology of Jesus, Lucifer, and John the Baptist (esoteric Christianity), the Mayans, the goddesses Kali (India), Coatlicue (Aztec), Sekhmet (Egypt), Persephone (Greece), and Senge Dongma (Tibet) etc.

Cool – this ceremony sounds intense & powerful, and full of sacred meaning. Looking forward to the equinox!
Wow, this is awesome. I can feel the power already!
I really appreciate the information given here about the equinox celebration.
The solstice celebration was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, but I didn’t prepare well enough for it. I didn’t take the time to read and reflect upon the articles written, and I missed out on an opportunity to understand and experience the celebration in a deeper way.
I did not want to make the same mistake again for the equinox. Not only did I gain a lot of insight from reading these articles, but I also gained a lot of strength and understanding which have been radically helpful in dealing with the inner states that have been coming up in my daily life.
Thank you so much for giving us this information.
I know what you mean Michelle, I agree that I want to prepare better for this ceremony as well. The inner state/ preparation you arrive with really affects what you’re able to take from these practices, and what you can give to it and to other people’s experiences as well, so I feel like this is something important I want to remember.
Yeah, that’s been on my mind as well. I feel like without a proper preparation, as with anything, things can just turn into a procedure without much inner meaning – kind of like preparing internally before doing a practice, so that I’m in the right state to get the most out of it…
Indeed Michelle, Dara and Jenny – I feel the same way about it.
I got so much out of the solstice last time, yet I know I only scratched the surface, and it was still a very memorable internal experience to me. The day had a complete different quality to it, the awareness, the feelings it all felt so simple, calm, focused – so very powerful. And I felt carried and imbued with an intensive yearning and strength for weeks afterward – so I know that by having a better understanding of what it is all about, about how it relates to us how much more we can really get out of it.
Yes, preparing internally is equally as important as preparing the physical ceremony. In how we do every thing.
Thank you so much for all this wonderful and so very precious information Belsebuub Teachings – it is amazing that we are given the keys to be able to celebrate such rituals, so openly, and be given such chances to get involved in them.
Thank you
And let’s all make the most of it
Thanks for these replies to what I mentioned Dara, Jenny and Geraldine. You have given me some insight as to how to change these ideas into practical application. Your messages reminded me of 2 consecutive Saturday all night practices I did. The first Saturday I lit the incense, meticulously made the bed, cleaned and tidied the room, made sure that my clothes and hair were neat, etc. The second Saturday I was busier and I didn’t have as much awareness going into the all night practice. I went quickly through the motions of preparing for the night. As you can imagine, the results of the first Saturday were much better. Preparation is so critical.
What an incredible ceremony, so mysterious and full of wonder, I’m looking forward to being able to be part of it.
Does it differ much for those in the southern hemisphere?
Hi Layla,
Yes, in the southern hemisphere it is instead the spring equinox, which is a very different celebration. The spring equinox is tied to the celebration of Easter with all its symbolism, and is when the light triumphs over the darkness as the days are longer than the nights for the first time since the autumn equinox and winter.
There won’t be any posts on the spring equinox until next year, as the autumn equinox took quite a lot to put together.
It is difficult for those in the southern hemisphere, because the dates of celebrations have been set for the world according to their timing in the northern hemisphere. In reality however, for those who wish to celebrate the stages of the esoteric work in tune with the cosmos, in the southern hemisphere, you would celebrate Easter, which is the resurrection.
Thanks for explaining that Wisheroflight. It gives us something to go with on how to approach the spring equinox down under.
Thanks Wisheroflight
I can imagine it would be very different and you can see that there is a lot involved with the autumn ceremony, let alone the spring ceremony.
For us I think a deeper reflection and contemplation on Easter and the resurrection is the way to go until we hear more about it next year.
Wishing you all a very beautiful autumn equinox celebration and looking forward to learn about your experiences of this wonderful ceremony.
Thanks very much for this whole article and the above clarification. Just to clarify a little bit further, does this mean that this Friday should be considered as Good Friday and Sunday as Easter Sunday by those in the southern hemisphere?
Hi David,
Those days were set by the Church, and although they have become tradition, they do not correspond accurately to the celestial alignments, which is most important. That’s why ancient people’s built their moments to mark the precise celestial moment of the equinox, rather than simply have a calendar
like we have today.
According to Wikipedia, the equinox will occur at 9:04 UTC this Sept 23 2011. There are some very interesting alignments to the spring equinox sunrise and sunset. The Sphinx in Egypt aligns to the rising sun on the spring equinox. The Sphinx temple aligns with the sunset. The statues at Easter Island face the sunset on the spring equinox. This is the day when the light rises to overpower the darkness.
I see, thanks for pointing that out.
That UTC time corresponds to Fri 23rd Sept 7:04pm Sydney time which will actually be after sunset here. Does that mean Saturday would be the day of resurrection here in the southern hemisphere and the days preceding it correspond to the trial and crucifixion of the Christ where we observe quietude and reflection on the process of the Christ?
Hi David,
Generally speaking, the celebration of the equinox takes place on the day the equinox occurs, which would be Friday. It would take quite a bit of in-depth investigation to really answer your question though, which unfortunately there just isn’t the time for this time around. So I hope all those in the southern hemisphere are able to celebrate it in the way that they feel is best.
Thanks for the clarifications wisheroflight. In a way it’s going to be helpful to know what’s coming up in advance so we have more time to prepare!
Very profound. Thank you for explaining these hidden mysteries.
Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone. This brings so much meaning to these special times of year, and it’s really amazing to have the opportunity to practice this, and experience these ancient ceremonies first hand. It really brings it all to life.
Very profound! How interesting is to understand and investigate the deep meaning af this ceremony!
Thank you very much for all these!
Definitely very profound…very interested to explore it. Thank you very much for all this information!
Thank you for taking time to organise this information for us. I hope to be able to perceive the meaning and reality of the Solstices and equinoxes.
May you receive more knowledge and guidance!
Very powerful and inspiring! Thank you very much!
That sounds great, thank you for this.
This sounds like an incredibly powerful ceremony. Full of esoteric depth. Thank you for this!
And guidance and strength to all those who wish to participate or recreate this ceremony in their neck of the woods.
This is deeply mystical! We are lucky to receive this. What we do with it is what really matters. I appreciate this and will respect it.
Much gratitude.
There are no words to adequately explain how amazing this is.
We just read the whole ceremony as a group in Edinburgh, and our jaws simply dropped, and I don’t think I can get mine back up. I am so incredibly inspired. Even reflecting on the Divine Mother as a warrior has allowed me to bring her in a new light where the internal death of the egos seems unbelievably strong, a symbol of her I before could not really relate to, but it feels like there is something all embracing to it. I look forward to hearing about the new mantra.
The texts mentioned of Repentence are also extremely profound.
Thank you is not enough for those who have put this together and helped shine the way to reunite with these sacred ceremonies.
I don’t really know how to describe how I feel about this either, other than awe and amazement. It feels like something from within calls out to me reading about this ceremony. And not only do I get to read about the equinox and its power and message, but I get to join a community of people all bent towards the spiritual work and celebrate and embrace it with this intense, serious, and beautiful ceremony.
I really love the Divine Mother as a warrior as well Olga. I often times beg her when I start my day or if I am facing a particularly difficult situation, to stand by me with her sword ready, to slay as many inner states as I can find. It’s funny but somehow that always makes me feel stronger to do the work, knowing there is this powerful aspect there to help me grow the spiritual within.
I really look forward to investigating all of what these celebrations hold. Thank you for this!
Looking forward to experiencing this celebration and connecting with my Divine Mother. A sincere thanks for posting the information and spiritual meaning behind it.
I definitely look forward to the Equinox and the ceremonies involved and learning more of the inner meaning of rituals that were passed along to various civilizations throughout time.
All the strength with everyone practicing and celebrating this Autumn Equinox!
This is amazing! I share the gratitude and appreciation of having the opportunity to delve into the deeper meaning of the Equinox and to have the opportunity to experience and be part of this ancient ceremony. Thank you for all the work that went into bringing this to the world!
Thank you all very much for providing us with this truly mystical and magical ceremony. Really so profound. And thanks too Wisheroflight for clarifying what those of us in the southeren hemisphere should be focusing on.
Wishing all those mystics in the North a truly mystical and profound experience when celebrating the Equinox. I hope it brings you closer to the Divine within and I am looking forward to hearing of your experiences.
This information is really profound and it shows what it means to keep ancient teachings alive. Thanks a lot for sharing this.
The mantra is beautiful, especially when sung in a group!
Thank you very much for the effort to make such a sacred and beautiful ceremony and information available to us. It sounds really amazing, and even if we don’t have the opportunity to perform the whole ritual to its full, we’ll definitely take part according to our circumstances.
You can just feel the power in this mantra!
What strikes me about this ceremony is the level of effort put into explaining it and the amount of detail in the ceremony itself. I’m honestly not much of a ceremony person – I have trouble seeing how they *really* relate to me – but I also know that I’ll never know until I’ll give it a shot, and this ceremony seems so interesting that I’m definitely going to take part! I’ll be in the Bay Area group.
Can’t wait to see what I’ll feel and experience during it. People here say that the summer solstice was something else, so I’m inspired to see what happens.
I hope it’s a great experience for all around the world and that it can be a stepping stone to whatever is needed.
Really looking forward to tonight! Hope it’s an awesome celebration for everyone!
I think this is incredible. The mantras are beautiful, and the selection from the Pistis Sophia is wondrous and intimate. God bless the world. We need Him. There are certainly not enough here to do the ceremony but we will be doing the mantra(s) as well as using this time to ground ourselves in humility and intimacy with the inner Christ, the Father, and the Divine Mother.
